Information about Actimorph
Actimorph is an orodispersible morphine preparation. This is now being used for some patients by the teams at St Catherine’s Hospice, Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and in Primary Care.
Actimorph is an immediate-release oral morphine preparation in the form of an orodispersible tablet.
It would most commonly be used ‘as required’, and should not be used alongside Oramorph due to the similar mode of action.
It will not replace modified-release formulations such as Zomorph or MST.
If further information or guidance is required, please refer to EMC or product information, or contact the original prescriber.
